You can increase the size of the font by pressing CTRL along with the Plus Sign. To decrease the font size, press the CTRL and Minus Sign on your keyboard.
Tried using CTRL + on my Mac keyboard.
Does not increase the tax interview font on my iMac running Safari 14.0.3
How to Increase the Text Size on Your Mac
This does not work. Have tried it for two days. Not working.
You can increase the size of the font by pressing CTRL along with the Plus Sign. To decrease the font size, press the CTRL and Minus Sign on your keyboard.
That normally works but not with Mac Turbotax app.
At least not with Safari 14.0.3
Please try the following: In an app on your Mac, choose Format > Show Fonts or Format > Font > Show Fonts. In the Fonts window, click the Action pop-up menu , choose Edit Sizes, then do any of the following: Add a font size: Type a new size, then click the Add button . Change the values on the slider: Type new values in the Max.
OR
I do not understand what you are saying. I will explain
"In an app on your Mac, choose Format > Show Fonts or Format > Font > Show Fonts."
What is "an app on your Mac?" Do you mean the Turbo Tax Program purchased on Disc? Do you mean some other random program ("app?") on my Mac? There is no "Format" drop-down menu either in the Turbotax program or in Safari. The topics are : "File Edit View Forms Easy Step Flags Window Help." After looking at each subtopic 4 ties, I am able to say with confidence that there is no "Font" option.
Secondly, you suggest "Make all content larger: Choose Safari>Settings for this website. . . ." Safari does not work for this purpose because Turbo Tax is neither open nor operating in Safari. Turbotax is its own program. No Safari involved.
Are you sure you are conversant with how the Turbotax Disc works in IOS, which is the operating system used in Apple computers. Neither of your proposed solutions is possible on this computer. I'm still looking at the -8 pt. type.
@Anonymous if you are still having the same issue after trying all the other troubleshooting above, it would be best to click here and speak with customer support.
This solution (Ctrl-+) does NOT work in pop-up windows on the Turbotax Premier 2021 installed program for Windows. Poor accessibility. You've got to copy the text from such a pop-up and then paste it into something more functional like Microsoft Word, and then increase the zoom level or font size there.

See if the two images below from the Windows version of TurboTax are helpful. The first image shows how to make the fonts of a primary TurboTax screen larger, and the second image shows how to make the fonts larger on a popup Help window. Click each image below to enlarge.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, the popup window I noticed this on doesn't have Large A / small A buttons on it. Using Ctrl-+, or clicking on the large A on the main / parent window only makes the font in that window larger, not in the popup. Nothing I've tried, like making the window wider or using the ctrl key with the mouse scroll wheel makes the font in the popup larger for me. Attaching a screenshot of the popup. Thanks again.
@ TRS1
I don't know how to get to that popup. I don't know what the parent window was with the link for the popup, so I can't look at it. But I can see from your image that there are no font controls for it. It appears to be a different kind of popup that even uses a different font style than the one in the image I posted. Changing the size of a popup won't in itself change the size of the font therein. Sorry, but I don't have a suggestion for that particular kind of popup. Maybe it's a popup that's in your Premier that is not in my Deluxe.
The answer given to this question by another person DOES NOT WORK with a 2021 MacBook Pro! TurboTax specialist apparently is not familiar with macOS.
Why does TurboTax use "gray" low contrast fonts?
And why don't they make the fonts and overall display user adjustable?
The designers of modern software have totally forgotten about those people who have diminished vision.
That can help, but then you will probably have to remember to change back that setting for use with other programs.
No such command button. That icon / command button does exist with SOME items on my iPhone 11, but not on my 2021 Macbook Pro.
I'm actually NOT a new member. I've been suffering with TurboTax for more than a decade, but for some reason tonight TTax community wouldn't let me use the name I have used in the past.
Security issues?
Also, how did TurboTax know my cell phone number since I didn't enter it? Also, I NEVER submit my TurboTax returns to be posted to their website. And I have not had my current cell phone very long and it's a newly assigned number. Are they spying on me?
Did you get a text message from Turbo Tax? They might have used your email address instead of a cell phone number. Messages uses either one on your Apple account.
And if you are using Turbo Tax on your phone you would be using the Online web version or mobile app. Not the Desktop CD/Download program. They are different.
Control key and plus sign does nothing on Mac This year was a real eye irritating experiece that I will not purchase next year so don't bother to send it. This is insane to have to bear this discomfort. Are the people writing this code still using a 12 inch monitor? It has got to be something about that studpid.
Please try the above-listed resolutions for Mac.
@jcapps
No thanks, increasing the text size by that method is axs stupid as you guys using a 12 inch monitor. This is 2022 and nobody has a 12" monitor so why the stupidity of text that small. Are you programmers all un 22 years old? Can you even imagine the eye strain for some body 85? While I'm at it I will say you are using black text in most cases but some is grey people with grey hair can't read it. This is another campaign for me is you are not using ink so why grey for eye strain. Black text does not cost any more. Most anything I have on my screen will get me larger text by pulling the pGE LARGER. If I change the resolution of the monitor then all the other windows also enlarge and pushes all the other apps off the screen edge. I paid for 27" monitors so I can see and they cost more so why would I turn down my high resolution monitor. Who designs this Rip Van Winkle
