The best way to initiate the import process when uploading another 1099-B from another entity is to go back to Income & Expenses (TurboTax online), scroll down the page to Investment Income, click on the drop down arrow to reveal more options, and select Stocks, Cryptocurrency, etc.
Because it appears that you may have already entered other 1099-Bs, on your investment sales summary page (TurboTax online), click on Add more sales. Answer the questions and you will get to a page where you can begin the importing process.
Some firms, like Schwab, have security options in place that will not allow an import to occur unless and until the customer has allowed third parties to access their site. So, if the import fails, check the security settings at the firm that holds your investment account.
I'm using a downloaded version of TT Premier on a acBook Pro, how can I initiate a manual import from Charles Schwab? I spoke to a TT technical person this morning and she said this is a known issue with Schwab but she didn't have an ETA for a fix. Thanks.
There is no option to import your 1099 manually. You can enter it manually by selecting "Type it in myself" and proceed. If you need additional assistance, please click here to contact customer support.
