If you know you need an IP PIN to file your taxes you may:

  1. Retrieve your IP PIN online at the IRS's Get an IP PIN site; or.
  2. Call the IRS at 1-800-908-4490 to have your IP PIN mailed to you (this can take up to 21 days)

To retrieve your prior year's AGI (adjusted gross income) you can call 800-829-1040. If you can provide certain information to the IRS, (name, Social Security number (SSN), and current address), you may receive the AGI amount over the phone.

If you have never had an IP PIN, see: Get An Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN)

To file for the Recovery Rebate Credit in TurboTax, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the search box and enter stimulus. Click the Jump to link.
  2. Answer Yes.
  3. At the next screen, Let's double-check the amount you received, answer No to edit the first-round and second-round amounts.
  4. If no stimulus amount was received, enter 0. An amount must be entered in each box. When finished, click Continue.
