How do I confirm that a payment made through Easy Extension went through successfully?

Just now I checked my checking account from where the payment was supposed to be debited but it's not been debited yet. I filed the Easy Extension on Thursday 04/13. I am worried whether the payment went through or do I have pay the tax once again through IRS direct debit?

UPDATED FOR TAX YEAR 2019

Do not make the payment again.  TurboTax transmits the extension request (with the payment information) to the IRS and the IRS will debit your account.

Generally, the funds are withdrawn on the payment date you specify if your extension has been accepted. If you still don't see the debit 7-10 days after your extension has been accepted, you will need to call IRS e-file Payment Services at 1-888-353-4537.

If the payment is deducted after April 15, will it be considered late?

No - it doesn't matter when the payment is actually taken from your account, as long as it was authorized before the filing deadline.
