How do I change my filing status in the app?

Enter or edit your filing status in MY INFO.

To change you filing status in TurboTax:

1. Open your return
2.  Go to  About me than to Personal Info and Continue
3. Select your name and Edit
4. Continue until you get to the About your household screen
5. Select what your marital status was on December 31, 2024
6. The program will ask the necessary questions depending on your situation to select the appropriate filing status is for you.
