How do I add my other w2s for the two other jobs that I’ve had since I only had one w2 at the time to fill out

If you haven't already filed your return:

  1. Open (continue) your return if you don't already have it open.
  2. Search for W-2 and select the Jump to link in the search results.
  3. We'll take you to a screen where you can click Add a W-2 for [your name or your spouse's name].
  4. Enter the information from the new W-2 on the following screens.

If you already filed your return, you'll have wait until your return is either accepted or rejected.

  • If rejected, you can add the W-2 as described above before resubmitting or paper-filing your return.
  • If accepted (or if you already paper-filed), you'll need to amend your return to add another W-2.

Amend returns must be mailed & they can take up to 16 weeks to be processed.

Do not make any changes to your original filed return.  The amendment form (1040X for Federal) is not available to the end of February (27th) or later.  You will have to wait until then to amend your return to add the additional income, enter each one separably.  Amended returns must be mailed, they cannot be e-filed.

If you used TurboTax Online, simply log in to your account and select “Amend a return that was filed and accepted.” If you used our CD/download product, sign back into your return and select “Amend a filed return.” You must file a separate Form 1040X for each tax return you are amending.

Three weeks after mailing your amended return, you can start tracking it at the IRS Where's My Amended Return? tracking tool.  Please allow at least 16 weeks for the IRS to process your amended

As long as you did not submit the file to the IRS, you can edit the file to add the W2s whenever you receive them.

For planning purposes, you could add the information that you know about the other jobs so that you can estimate the taxes that you will have to pay. Then verify and correct the information when you have the W2 in hand. You can enter the information that you have for income from your paystubs, etc. When the Turbo Tax calculates many of the questions it asks will depend on the income that it calculates that you are reporting so it is good to have the income entered quite accurately to give a fairly accurate final tax refund or amount to be paid.
