Do you mean your 2017 AGI so you can file for 2018? Or do you need your current AGI?

If you require your AGI for 2018, here is a Turbo Tax article to assist you with acquiring that number: https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tips/irs-tax-return/what-is-adjusted-gross-income-agi/L2C6rCEit

Now, if you need assistance with locating your 2017 AGI in order to file your 2018 taxes, please use this link for assistance: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3301618

For tax year 2018, AGI (adjusted gross income) is found on line 7 of the 1040. When you log into your TurboTax account, you will see the option for your "Tax Home" or "Documents" on the left. Choose "Documents" and pick the tax year from the dropdown menu next to "View documents from:."

AGI for tax years other than 2018 will depend on the form filed in that year. For Form 1040, AGI was found on line 37.

To access your current or prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on View adjusted gross income (AGI)

Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

If your tax return continues to be rejected with the 2018 AGI then enter a 0 (zero) for the AGI and e-file again.

If this is also rejected then you will have to print and mail the tax return.

He does not have access to his computer where he filed his taxes last year.  Is there a site to find his 2018 taxes.

You can get a free transcript from the IRS to locate your AGI.  Please see the below for additional information:

You can get a copy of your prior-year tax return, from TurboTax it will have your AGI.

This link  How do I access a prior year return? has directions on how to get a copy of a prior-year tax return from TurboTax.

Also, you can request a transcript of your 2018 tax returns from the IRS.  The transcript will have your AGI.

This link to the IRS web site  Welcome to Get Transcript  has directions on how to obtain a transcript of your tax return.

If you have printed your 2018 1040 forms, look for line 7, adjusted gross income.  If you have used TurboTax, open the 2018 TurboTax, CONTINUE from list  and click the tab for review and look for form 1040.  There, on the 1040, again it will be line 7, adjusted gross income.  This is what I did.

There are a few places you can get your 2018 AGI:

  • If you filed your 2018 taxes with TurboTax, sign in and go down to Your tax returns & documents. Select View adjusted gross income (AGI).
  • If you didn’t file your taxes with TurboTax in 2018, the best place to get last year's AGI is from the 1040 form you filed with the IRS. Look on page 2, line 7. If you filed a 1040NR, it'll be on line 35.
  • If you're having trouble locating your 2018 return, the second-best place to get your AGI is from the IRS. You can order a free transcript of your return at the IRS Get Transcript site or you can purchase a full copy of your 2018 return. Both versions will include your AGI.
