you may be able to login to intuit.com and change your email there. I was asked if I had the same email, but that was only bec I had to pay for the state. If I hadn't had to pay it would not have asked about my email.
I suspect the user may be asking about a situation in which TurboTax is concerned that a filed return may not be from the actual person, so they hold the return 48 hours giving the user time to cancel if it's not their return.
