Have others found they've been "upgraded" just as you're ready to file? Went back to Deluxe, entered everything, went to file - now says (and wants $$ for) Premiere.

I was careful about NOT signing up for more support than I needed, and yet here I am, either having to pay more or start over. Any suggestions? Hoping customer service will be reasonable, but they'd have to take my word for it. It's not like I have proof.

Did you have a Schedule D or Schedule E generated in your tax return? If so, that could trigger the system to prompt you to upgrade. Please see TurboTax 2020 Online product guide for a description of what is included in both Deluxe and Premier.

Another option would be to see if you qualify for the IRS Free File Program. If find you do qualify, you can switch by following the steps here
