Form 1041 with 1042-S Non-USA citizen with federal tax withheld

Hi I'm a Canadian citizen (living in Canada & not a USA citizen). Inherited money from USA citizen and was taxed (withheld) by the lawyer. I'm using TurboTax 2021: Home & Business USA version. I have entered Form 1041 into the software but I can not find out how to enter 1042-S that I also received from the lawyer? I'm a foreign beneficiary who had taxes withheld.

Not sure how you can enter the 1041 into the H&B program  since it cannot complete a 1041 ... you would need to use the TT BUSINESS program to complete a form 1041.

Now if you do not need to file a 1041  but  do need to file a 1040NR (non resident) form then you cannot use any of the TT programs.  Get a refund of the program you cannot use and  switch to the program that will handle the form you need.

You can go here TurboTax CD/Download Refund Request Form to request a refund if still within 60 days of purchase.

There is no downloaded version for the 1040NR form...

Now the last issue ... the 1042-S ... there will be no specific section to enter that form ... using the income code you will put the income in the correct place ... for instance code 1 in box 1 is bank interest ... read the form (look on the back ) & instructions if needed:
