Hello-
I started converting a traditional IRA to Roth in 2021. But I did not see the 1099-r form and didn't report in with my 2021 taxes.
To catch up on this omission, is it permisable to insert the missed 1099-r information from 2021 into my 2022 taxes? I also converted some of the trad IRA in 2022.
I can see doing this by either having two 1099-R forms, one for the 2021 and one for the 2022 conversions, or by simply totalling what the correct amounts should be on the single 1099-r that I submit. Leaning toward the latter.

You cannot report the 2021 Roth conversion on your 2022 tax return.
You have to amend your 2021 tax return to add the 2021 form 1099-R.
Please read this TurboTax Help article on amending your Federal tax return.
The 2022 conversion shall be reported on your 2022 tax return with the 2022 1099-R.
