Filed an amended return for 2020 due to receipt of ERTC in 2022. I lowered the wage expense for 2020. Turbotax has calculated an additional refund. Does this sound right?

I have to file an amended return for 2020 due to receipt of ERTC funds in 2022.  I lowered the wage expense for 2020 in accordance with the receipt of these funds (making my loss in 2020 lower) but Turbotax has calculated an additional refund as a result.  I figured I would owe some federal tax as a result.  Does this sound right?
