E-file status - 3 rejected text, 1 accepted text, then 4 rejected - what is the real status?

E-file status - 3 rejected text, 1 accepted text, then 4 rejected - what is the real status?  How do I verify if the IRS did or did not accept my E-file?

On my turbotax Premier currently it shows 'Rejected'.  Based on the texts i got from TT, i have 1 accepted text, followed by 4 rejected.  I tried resubmitting twice based on the reject statuses.  How do I verify if the IRS did or did not accept my E-file?

Thanks for any assistance!

Hi Michelle,

Finally.  My 2021 e-file return was accepted by the IRS.

In a youtube video, a user said he verified the AGI amount and it was correct.  He then enter 0 for the AGI and was successful.  As a last try, I did the same, entered 0 for the AGI and return was accepted.

Thanks for your help,

--Bryan

Hi Michelle,

Was able to get the 2020 IRS transcript from the IRS site and the TT AGI matches the one in the IRS transcript.  So I do not know what the issue is.  I tried calling the IRS hotline to ask what the issue is using your instructions.  Each time I call, the IRS automated response is 'too busy' and request I try again later or next day and it hangs up on me.  Tried 5 times Tuesday, 5 times Wednesday, and 12 times Thursday, each time "too busy" and it hangs up.  Your solution is great if I can get a real person to answer at the IRS.  I will try the calls again Friday, then if unsuccessful, I will just print the return and mail it.  Thanks for your help.  --Bryan
