What form? The program shows the form and the location of line 7a on the form.
I also had this error, but had 1099-INT and 1099-DIV. I deleted Schedule B which deleted both entries for 1099. After re-entering these, I no longer had this error...but I still had to reenter which was annoying due to Intuit misusing a radio button.
Delete the Schedule B. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on Delete a form
I had that problem when I had 7a answered "No" AND line 7b answered "No". Those were the "correct" answers but that combination created the error. When I checked 7a "Yes" and left 7b UNANSWERED, the error went away.
I have deleted Schedule B more than once I have a 1099 Int for 44.59 I have to enter.
Please help me correct this issue or I am so done with Intuit
This is second year of having problems trying to efile

You don't need a Schedule B for $45 of interest. To enter your interest on a 1099-INT, click start next to Interest on 1099-INT and enter the payer's name and amount. You can also search for 1099-INT and use the Jump to 1099-INT link to be taken straight to the entry screen. It is easy to get to the wrong screen in TurboTax Online. Choose I'll type in myself instead of trying to import or upload the form; it is easier to just type the name and amount. @dac0803
Used all the solutions in the help center and I still cannot get past this 7a Schedule B Issue Please email me with a solution as I would like to get my return sents.
Thank you
Simply go on the form where the x is located on Line 7a on that Sch B and click directly on it. That should make it blank.
The other option as was mentioned by DoninGA is to delete the form in its entirety.
Hello, i have the same problem but i could not fix it after following the instructions of deleting all the 1099-INT and Div forms and manually re-enter them. You said that another solution is to go directly to the form and uncheck 7a under schedule B. How did you do that? I could not find the detailed schedule B forms but only 1040 summary.
This is truly frustrating. I’d appreciate your help.
Thanks, Jasmine
I would like to take a deeper look at this. However, I need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed. You can send one to us by following the directions below:
TurboTax Online:
TurboTax Desktop/Download Versions:
*(If using a MAC, go to the menu at the top of the screen, select Help, then, “Send Tax File to Agent”)
Hello, I am facing the same issue. I shared the file with you and the token number is 1301029. This flag is blocking me filing my taxes. Could you please help me? Thank you.
The steps provided by AbrahamT will work to remove the flag. Follow these steps to correct the issue:
Hi @BrittanyS ,
Thank you very much for your response. I am using online TurboTax to file my taxes. That radio button is already selected and the system says that it should be blank. Could you please tell me how to resolve this issue? I am unable to file the taxes due to this error.
Thank you.
When I view the diagnostic copy of your return it shows no entry in box 7a. Have you tried deleting Schedule B and re-entering your interest and dividends manually? If you've imported those 1099s, this may be causing this error. You might consider deleting those 1099s with foreign income first to see if that will clear the error.
Otherwise, consider switching from TurboTax Online to TurboTax Desktop, where I see no error.
Other alternatives are to Contact Support, or to print your return and mail it.
