Does turbotax / intuit "see" my financial info when I download from a financial institution while using TurboTax locally - on my PC and not online? I'm required to login!

Does the info go thru TurboTax / Intuit servers or directly to my PC? I don't want the company to see financial info in any way.

If you e-file your tax return, it does go through the Intuit servers and can be seen. If you would like to avoid that, then your best option would be to print and mail your tax return.

Didn't answer my question: I'm asking about transfer of data during downloads from my financial institution, NOT electronic filing! I file on paper. I have read all of your security and privacy notes and they do not answer my question. I don't want my personal data passing thru and/or kept on Intuit / Trubotax servers. Requring a login to transmit implies that might be the case.

Thanks for looking into this.

Your information does not pass through or get stored on intuit computers. It appears only on your computer and gets stored there as well.

Thanks for clarifying. I'm curious: why is sign-in required? Is it to establish a vpn / secure connection?

Our system automatically sends emails when an account is logged into, or when a return is opened. Please see the TurboTax help topic below, on how to check the activity and how to protect your account:
