Does anyone know how I can request a receipt from TurboTax for paying taxes?

TurboTax never knows how, when or even if you paid your federal or state tax due, so you will never get a receipt for paying tax due from TurboTax.  Your proof that you paid your tax due will be your own cancelled check, or your own bank or credit card records.

Thank you for your reply. In my situation, we paid for our outstanding federal taxes in April, but no receipt was received. Today, we received a letter from the IRS saying our taxes are still due. The money has been withdrawn from our bank account. The card information was entered into TurboTax. The card statement says ‘US Treasury.’ Any idea on how to remedy this? 

Read the letter from the IRS carefully and follow the instructions in the letter.   You will have to prove to the IRS that you paid by providing your bank statement.    TurboTax cannot help with this.
