Does adding MAX for audit cover the audit if I expatriate from the U.S.?

I haven't decided yet but I may choose to expatriate from the U.S.

I read that for the expatriation process, the IRS will audit the last 5 years of my return.
Will adding MAX cover this audit? Thanks

Sounds like that's a "no"

"When purchased between November 1, 2021 – April 18, 2022, coverage lasts from the date purchased through April 30, 2023. When purchased between April 19, 2022 – October 31, 2022, coverage lasts from the date purchased through October 31, 2023."

That would definitely be my guess.

Just because they will "audit" the last 5 tax years doesn't mean you will actually  be audited.   They will basically review the returns to see if there is a cause to audit any of them  before the let you expat. If your returns were true & accurate then there is nothing to fear from such a review.
