Cannot Transfer Return - asking for software update

TurboTax2019 will not allow for me to transfer my return.  Says I need to update the software, I follow the instructions, click Online, software responds back that I have the latest software.  Click Transfer my Return and right back into the loop of saying I need to update my software but TurboTax telling my I'm up to date.  How do I get the software to allow me to Transfer My Return and not get blocked with software update request (when the same software says I'm up to date).

I am having the exact same problem.  Any Turbo Tax people know what is going on?  I updated the software right before I finalized everything.  Then when I go to hit "Transmit Returns" I get a pop up message that says:

"There is update available for your version of Turbo Tax.  Before you can file electronically, you'll need to get this update.  To do this, go to the online menu and select Check for Updates."

I have done the Check for Updates about 6 times now and each time it says I'm up to date.  I'm stuck in an endless loop and cannot transmit my returns (1 federal and 1 MA State return)

Help!!

I had the same issue last year. Some of the updates were not finalized, and I had to wait for all of the forms to be completed by the government for some parts of the program. I was eventually able to file after the items were updated from the government to Turbo Tax

There seem to be a few problems with the Deluxe software, with these solutions:

 1) Try transmitting federal taxes alone. (You can go back later and transmit the states separately.)  If you still get the message that you have to update, run a *manual software update*. There is a patch you have to download and run. (Search here for "manual update".) The manual update is for the federal taxes only.

 2) If your federal return transmits, then try the states. If they require updates, there are manual updates available for MA and NY. (Search here for those.)

 3) If that doesn't work, apparently some pending Windows 10 updates may cause the issue. Make sure Windows 10 is up to date: Click on Windows icon, then go to Settings>Update and Security> Check for Updates. Complete the updates and reboot. Then relaunch TurboTax.

Same problem in Illinois.  Is there a work around for us?

I had this exact same problem and it was so frustrating to be 99% done and then get that pesky "you need to install updates before proceeding", but I did 12 times already!!  GRRRR.  I deleted my cookies, cleared my cache, tried other browsers....all at others suggestions. Then, I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it.  All tax info on returns was preserved, as was my credit payment for the state filing fee. It worked.  My returns transmitted on the first try.

Have email indicating Form 8995-A is ready to go simply open TurboTax and it should update automatically. I purchased software at Office Max and downloaded to computer so it is not connected to internet, on my desk top computer. Previous years this was a very simple process. Will someone help me with this as I am not getting a pop up letting me get an update.

Please see below on how to complete a manual update - Also, ensure you are connected to the internet to receive any pending updates as well:

My software is up to date - error message continues - can't transmit my completed returns.

If the fixes above have not worked, try submitting early or late in the day to avoid peak server times.
