I found that my problem was that I did not enter a mortgage amount. Because of that, I was unable to enter the property tax amount. I have a home office, so I was able to enter it there.
Thanks but I have No mortgage. Most annoying is I had the Exact Same Problem last year.
Only difference Turbo Tax support corrected it for me Free. This year they want me to Pay for an Upgrade
to Fix Turbo Software Glitch!!! Not Happy
If you are using an online program go into your return
Click Federal
Click Deductions & Credits along the top
Scroll down and click "All tax breaks"
(you may need to answer Yes/No questions to get to this point in the software)
UNDER "All tax breaks" scroll down to "Your Home" and click "Show more"
Scroll down on the list that opened to "Property (Real Estate) Taxes and click "Start"
Enter the amount of property tax paid on the next screen titled "Enter any additional property tax you paid in 2019"
The name of the screen is a bit confusing, but that is where you would enter it.
@sunbus9 I don't understand your issue. Can you provide more detail about the exact issue you are experiencing?
