Can I file with missing one W2, out of three jobs in 2023, I have EIN number for employer. Can I file taxes with EIN number only?

Depending on the employer, TurboTax might be able to import your W2 from a service provided by companies like ADP. Did you try to import your W2 when you got to that step?

For you to import your W-2 directly from your employer into TurboTax, the following things are required:

  • Your payroll provider needs to be a TurboTax Import Partner.
  • Your W-2 must be available for import (most are ready by February 1).
    • We understand the frustration of not having access to all of your tax forms at once. Forms are released by employers on different dates. We appreciate your patience as we work diligently to make sure your W-2 is ready for you as soon as possible.
  • We need the Box 1 amount from your W-2 or the year-to-date (YTD) gross income from your year-end pay stub.
  • In some cases, we may need the Box d Control Number from your W-2, but only if your payroll provider requires it.

Select your version of TurboTax, then follow the steps provided.
