Can I file a standard tax return or do I need to file Self-employed if I work a regular job with W-2 & then coached on the side and got a 1099-MISC?

The 1099-MISC entry will require TurboTax Deluxe to file so that you can include Schedule C-EZ. Then, if you have any expenses related to your coaching income, the program will prompt you to upgrade to TurboTax Self Employed because with expenses, you'll need the Schedule C.

Both versions will handle the W-2 entry.
