Can Efile PINs be still used?

Hi,

We are filing jointly a federal tax return. Turbotax shows 5 digit Efile PINs imported from the last year's return in the electronic filing part. Do they still work?

I have created my ID.me account and my 6-digit  Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN).  Is it possible for me to use  IP PIN and for my wife her Efile PIN?

I want to know how this community site works.

Is there any easy way to find the postings made by me?

Do we get a notification  when some one responds to my posting?

Yes, you can use your Self Select Pins from last year or create a new one. For more information please see What is the difference between the five-digit Self-Select PIN I created last year and my Self-Select PIN this year?

However, if you have an IP PIN from the IRS, you will need to use that to file your return.

Thank you for your quick response.

I clicked the thumb up icon, then I got the error message:

"Authentication Failed. Authentication Ticket Mismatched, failed authentication."

Therefore the thumb up  number was not increased.

While I was typing this  message, + symbol shows up, and the Google Chrome was frozen. Although I could unfreeze the browser, I do not know what I did. As I am old, I often forget what  I did several minutes ago.

After I posted my reply, I clicked the thumb up icon again, then it worked. Thank you.
