Anyway to start over after I’ve already issued payment?

Anyway to start over after I’ve already issued payment for e-file? I thought I was just issuing the payment and I wanted to review the form later, was nowhere near finished, now I’m locked into a messed up form I don’t want to submit. Stupid user error I guess. Any suggestions?

paying now does not mean you submitted.   SUBMITTING means you submitted.

Understood, but I’m now locked into this loop where the option to restart my form is no longer there. Support materials indicate there’s a difference in being able to start from scratch” After you’ve submitted payment for filing.

If you paid for the online version you can ask support for the Desktop download.  Then move your return to it.  And you can do a new return in the Desktop program.

once you pay you can' t "start over".

If TurboTax thinks you are done, use "Add a State" command to resume working.
