After I have checked no need for Audit defense protection, but TT still ask me to pay $45 before the final step for e filing, why?

Try the below steps to remove Audit Defense in TurboTax Desktop prior to paying:

  • Go to the REVIEW tab, then click the subtab AUDIT PROTECTION.
  • Navigate past the Audit Risk Results Meter
  • On the next page make sure to select No thanks

If you are still being asked to pay after that, please reach out to TurboTax Customer Support.

Thanks for the reply, but it did not work as you suggested. I have called the customer support, they helped to solve the problem.  I think TT can make it easier for customer to handle such agony issue.
