2024 TurboTax Download Issues - Windows 11

For the first year I am required to "download" TurboTax instead of receiving the CD's (which I have gotten historically). I am having trouble getting the software to work, specifically being able to verify the License Code from the Turbo Tax Website. The Turbo Tax screen shows the License Code to "Activate" it,  but then an error message keeps coming up saying there is not connection.  I have made sure that Norton Anti-virus and firewall is switched "off" and I still keep getting this message. Extremely frustrating. Anyone else getting a similar issue?

Yes, I'm having the same issue. TurboTax 2024 won't update.  Using Windows 11 too.

Dialog box below.

Extremely frustrating.

I should have added that my internet connection is up and fine.  And my VPN is off.

I have the same problem and adding Turbotax to the allowed apps list in the firewall did not fix it.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

It finally allowed me to activate it.  I think it was one of two things:
1) Downdetector showed a lot of people were having issues with the turbotax app.  So, perhaps Intuit fixed a problem recently.
2) There was an update to my windows OS that I applied.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

I'm having the same issue. Cant' activate TurboTax 2024 desktop on windows 11 pro.  The program claims I don't have an internet connection.  Thing's I've unsuccessfully tried are:

* Disable windows firewall
* Re-install TurboTax and this time allow it to send back data
* Run TT as admin
* Run wireshark to try to figure it out
* Saw a DNS issue with shopping.turbotax.intuit.com, so switch my DNS Server to 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1
* Sacraficed a rubber chicken to the computer gods.

Has anyone gotten this to work? It's super frustrating.

Were you able to resolve this?  I am having the same problem.

It did work for me, yes.  After I did a windows update.  Although, I suspect it was more about something that Intuit fixed while the update was happening.  The update took a LONG time.

I continually have intermittent success with updating the Turbo Tax software. Sometimes it will update as a normal part of opening the software. When it gives me an error message and it won't update, I usually stop trying to update the software and just launch Turbo Tax. I then hit the "check for updates" pull down tab and that sporadically works. These problems are all new this year, as in prior years the software updates were consistent with no problems. It does not appear that the Turbo Tax team sems very concerned about these update failures.....

It's my understanding this has been resolved. Please let us know if you are still having issues.

Me too! Spent over two hours with TTX support. Often disconnected because of dropped  call. They had me open and run a program that let them see my screen. Downloaded TTX DLX over and over, reinstalled over and over. Install would not put icon on screen and install failed - said TTX was already on my PC. Spent multi hours MANUALLY entering 1099-R and 1099-INT.  My credit union wasn't on list of institutions. After all those entry hours, TTX wanted me to upgrade to DLX and said I had been using free version. Not true! I BOUGHT TTX DLX! I refused to pay for it again. After reading many, many community posts I am considering going to an alternate software.
