2023 Tax (.tax2023) imports to 2024, but has no data. Help please.

I'm trying to import last years tax return into TurboTax2024.  It finds ~2023 xxxx Form 1040 Individual Tax Return.tax2023, but when it imports, there is no data shown.  Using Windows 11.

If you used TurboTax Online last year, make sure you are logged in using the same credentials you used when preparing your 2023 tax return. Please see this link to verify any accounts you may have under your information.

Once you confirm that you are using the same account, follow these instructions to import your data from 2023 if it is not already carried forward.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, please see this link for guidance.  To find your .tax file, please see How do I find my tax data file (.tax file) on my Windows Computer?

See if you can find any other .tax2023 files on your computer or backups.  Do you use One Drive?  That can mess it up.

Here's an idea.  Do you still have 2023 installed?  Try opening 2023 program and see if you can get your 2023 return to show up in it with the right info.  Go to FILE - OPEN.   Then save it again with a name and place you can find.  Go to File - Save As.  Then start a new 2024 return and transfer from the 2023 file.
