2021 Turbotax for mac from a disc is not opening

I used the turbo tax on my mac for weeks with no problem. I am now trying to open after it asked to run the update and it will not open. It flashes on for a second and then goes away and I see the status bar for a second as well. I don't want to have to reinstall so any other options?

Try restarting your computer before you do a reinstall.

Restarted computer and did not work, seems the update maybe corrupted it. So now what do I do? Can't find the disc and my local Staples had a fire and is closed!
