1099-DIV info

My wife Diane and I Karl are  filing jointly but one of the 1099-DIV has our 18 yr old dependent daughters Karlie social security number but the name as

Diane [PII Removed] c/f

Karlie [PII Removed] u/oh/ugma

Do I enter this info as if it applies to my wife and myself even though it is under our daughters SS number?

Thank You

Karl [PII Removed]

No, you do not enter your daughter's 1099-DIV unless it meets the threshold to qualify for reporting "Kiddie Tax."

Please click the link for more details about reporting unearned income of $2,200 or more from a minor: Where do I enter Kiddie Tax?

If this does pertain to you, then please note that there was a tax law changed in December, 2019 that retroactively impacts taxpayers filing kiddie tax in 2018. Click the link form more information: SECURE Act Retroactive Change to Kiddie Tax
