What can I do to reduce my fees?

If your TurboTax fees are higher than expected, you can reduce them by removing add-ons:

You also have the option to downgrade your TurboTax Online product. Before switching, make sure the new product fits your tax situation and forms.

As a last resort, you can clear and start over to remove all fees and start from scratch as long as you haven't paid, registered, or deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund.

TurboTax will email you a detailed breakdown of all your fees. This includes fast refund fees, tax preparation fees, and additional service fees.

What if I already filed?

If you chose up to 5 days early refund delivery and we aren’t able to deliver your refund early, you won’t be charged a fee. If you selected for your refund to be delivered up to 5 days early into a Credit Karma Money account, there isn’t a fee.

If you chose Pay with your Refund, but your refund was delayed and therefore your bank account was auto-debited, rather than product fees coming from your refund, you won't be charged a fee.
