Why is my Form 5695 resulting in $0 credit? I have entered details for my Exterior Windows replacement that I made on my house. It should result in $600 credit.

I've entered the amount for window replacement and answered all the questions, the result of which should be $600 credit. But TurboTax says no credit.

Because we can't see your entries on your Form 5695 Residential Energy Credit, we can't figure out why TurboTax is determining that you can't get the credit.

I can tell you that the Energy Tax Credit is a non-refundable credit, which means it decreases your tax liability. If the credit is more than you owe, you don't get any of the credit remaining.

Refer to the TurboTax article What Is the IRS Form 5695? and 2024-2025 Energy Tax Credit: Which Home Improvements Qualify? for more information.
