Where can I find the EIC worksheet?

They reduced my refund by the entire EIC amount. I spoke with the IRS and they told me to check for math errors. Which confuses me because all I did was enter my info and TurboTax said I was good to go.

If you entered your income correctly and entered your dependents correctly, then if you qualified for EIC the software would have added EIC to your refund automatically.   So check your income amounts and the information you entered about your dependents too.

If you received EIC it is shown on line 18a of your Form 1040.

Did you make a mistake with your income somewhere?  What was your filing status?  You cannot get EIC if you file married filing separately or if you are someone else's dependent.

Print out your tax return and the worksheets to look them over.

Thank you for your response.

I filed HOH and meet all the requirements. My calculations and the IRS calculations are exactly the same regarding AGI and Taxable income.

I called the IRS twice and they tell me the math is wrong.  I have gone over the math, my partner has gone over the math. Extremely frustrated.

Are you saying the refund amount as shown on line 20 of your Form 1040 was reduced by the EIC amount shown on line 18a?  They subtracted the EIC from your total refund?

At the following IRS website, find the USA map and click on your state, and it will give you the number of your area's IRS Taxpayer Advocate.
