In Ohio, you can claim a foster child placed with you for 6 months and 1 day. If the foster child is with you and they pass away say in March, do you still claim them?

If the child lived with you from the beginning of the year until they passed in March then they are considered to have lived with you ALL year so yes you can claim them.  Otherwise NO.
