I keep getting 4 smartcheck errors that won't let me e-file. Says prior year earned income must be greater than your current year income to be used for additional child tax credit and earned income credit, but I'm not getting either of these credits. HELP
there was a glitch in the new update....TT is trying to resolve it...I keep getting the same error too....
Wait for notification from TT for the fix. Do not e-file yet.
I am getting the same 4 errors and got them last year
Today's update broke the software and is causing this. It is not going to work, and could possibly have other errors as well.
I would stop where you are, and certainly don't try further to e-file, until they get it fixed with another update/
I keep getting the same error too....a rep said "Checking to see if its a program issue.. thanks for your patience!"
They have acknowledged it and are working on it, but who knows how long that'll take ... I would just stop trying to e-file until they get it fixed. There's no telling what else they may have broken.
Same here....drove me batsh!t crazy until I started seeing a bunch of similar posts. Please fix this soon!
I just posted a potential workaround here: <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/4198384-what-if-worksheet-re-child-tax-credit-earned-income-credit-error-if-you-are-not-claiming-the-eic-i-have-found-a-workaround">https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/4198384-what-if-worksheet-re-child-tax-credit-earned-income-credit-error-if-you-are-not-claiming-the-eic-i-have-found-a-workaround</a>
