I just discovered the Home Office Asset Depreciation. Can home assets that were placed into service in prior years be entered now?

I have worked out of a home office since 2020.  Can I now, on my 2022 return, claim home improvements as assets placed into service for depreciation for any year since 2020, or only assets placed into service during 2022?

if you get a w-2 you are not entitled to any home office deduction.

According to TurboTax, it directed me this way because I have a home office "for my company's convenience".  I interpreted that to mean that because my company doesn't provide an office and I'm expected to work remotely, I would qualify.  Is this not correct?

No, you won’t qualify for a home office deduction on your federal tax return as an employee. For tax year 2018 and beyond, unreimbursed employee business expenses and home office deductions are no longer available on your federal tax return unless you fall under certain Categories of Employment.  The TurboTax interview screens asks the questions regarding a home office for your company’s convenience because several states still give deductions for unreimbursed employee business expenses.
