Look at your 2021 Form 1040. Is there an amount on line 28? That line shows the "other half" of your child tax credit---which was calculated into your refund that was on line 35a.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
Yes it shows the 1500.00 that still remains but when I got my tax return I didn't recieve that. Is is a payment or just a credit?

It is a credit that is included in your tax payments and after the total taxes were subtracted from the total payments your refund includes the credit.
