I cannot enter property tax for house. Turbo Tax has $0 and will not let me edit this amount.

There are two areas in Deductions and Credits where you can enter your Property Tax information:

1.) In the Property Taxes section of Your Home

2.) In the Mortgage Interest (1098) section of Your Home

If you are unable to enter it one section, I would try the other to see if you can update it there instead.

Same issue, and when I (accidentally) double-clicked on the $0 entry, it opened an old itemize comment from 2018 taxes!   I was then able to edit the old comment, include current amounts, and then it finally displayed the correct total amount on the form.

You accidentally found the correct answer ... if you itemized a section in the past you just need to double click on that input box to bring up the underlying breakdown worksheet.

...OR...when you bring up that sheet again, you can hit the Delete at the top of the form, and not deal with that underlying (Supporting Details) sheet in the future.

That particular annoyance can crop up in some other sections too, usually where you see an entry field with a "$0" showing, and not a simple "$" at the start of the entry field.

I followed some of the suggestions for entering real estate property taxes on my home with no success.  Double clicking on the "0" entry does nothing.  I didn't have this trouble last year. I don't understand why we need to go to the community for answers to this ongoing issue.  This is something turbo Tax needs to correct.  Do you have any other suggestions?

SteamTrain has some other things you can try, see this discussion.   @Arturo
