Employee Business Expenses: The answer with no year listed as valid: home office, professional journals, professional conference travel, etc Is this correct for 2018?
The travel and expenses for professional conferences, professional organizations, and home office are necessary for my work, and are not provided by my employer.

Unfortunately, if you are a W-2 employee and you have expenses for your work that your employer does not reimburse you for, you are no longer able to deduct those on your tax return due to the new tax law change.
