Why am I not seeing the line item titled "Qualifying for the Colorado Sales Tax refund"? Pertains to Colorado Tabor tax refund?

Where is line item "qualifying for the Colorado Sales Tax refund"?

Make sure you answered the questions that verify if you qualified, and then you should see the message.

Here is how to do this in TurboTax Online:

  1. Open TurboTax Online
  2. Select  Tax Home in the left pane
  3. On the  Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of the State Taxes box, then select Review/Edit
  4. Continue through the state screens.
  5. On the Qualifying for the Colorado state sales tax refund page, select No, if that is accurate. ‌(You can't have been incarcerated in Colorado for 180 days or more during the tax year and qualify for TABOR.)
  6. Select  Yes on the Qualifying for the Colorado sales tax refund screen to indicate you will file your tax return on or before the extended due date of 10/15/25.
  7. If you qualify, the You're getting the Colorado sales tax refund! screen should generate.  Select Continue to move on with your return.

Thank you @MindyB for your response! My problem is step 5 you outlined.

5. On the Qualifying for the Colorado state sales tax refund page, select No, if that is accurate. ‌(You can't have been incarcerated in Colorado for 180 days or more during the tax year and qualify for TABOR.)

You're welcome.  First, you need to have been a full-year resident of CO.  If you were, the page is there, you need to continue to get to it.  Keep hitting continue until it seems you have gone too far- past all the other credits, underpayment penalty, etc.  It is one of the very last entries for CO.

Or, if you have already gone through the interview questions before, once you re-enter CO, you may get a screen that says, "Your 2024 Colorado taxes are ready for us to check." That will allow you to bypass the paging through.  If you arrive at that screen, choose to edit "Other situations." On the next screen, choose "Sales Tax Refund."
