Were federal taxes deductible from an Oregon State Tax Return in 2023?

I read that you can deduct up to $6100 but do not see that Turbo Tax added it to my 2023 Oregon Return on Schedule OR-ASC.

There are several  states that allow you to enter the federal tax you paid on your state return--Alabama, Iowa. Missouri, Montana, and Oregon.  If you are filing in one of these states watch for the deduction when you prepare your state return.

Thank you.  What do I do if I don’t see it on my 2023 return?  I am unsure why Turbo Tax would not have included it.

If you did not enter that amount for 2023 then you can amend your state return for 2023.  The information would not have been included on your federal return--it would be on your state return.

Thank you.  I looked for it in the Oregon State return and could not find anywhere that it would be added.  Where do I add it?  Why would Turbo tax not automatically have filled it in?

Someone more familiar with the OR form may be able to help.  I only know that OR allows you to enter the federal tax you paid.  I do not know where on the form or where in the OR software you were asked.  I have no access to OR software.

The subtraction for federal taxes appears on line 10 of your 2024 OR-40.
