Part year state return MA & NH

My husband lives in NH, but worked in MA for the first half of 2016.  He worked and lived in NH for the last half of 2016.  Do I need to file a different MA return or is there a place to indicate that he didn't have a MA work location for all of 2016?

Indicate in the Personal Info section your state of residence as of 12/31/2016.

Scroll down the Personal Info section to Other state income, select edit and enter the other state that you had income in.

You may need to file a nonresident return for MA. If so, prepare the nonresident return before your resident return for accurate calculations. See below for more tips.
