I submitted both my Federal and New Mexico State Returns on February 13th. My Federal Return was accepted the same day, but my New Mexico State Return still shows Pending as of 4/24. I checked the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department web site, and it does not show the return having been received. I owed money and I am worried about having to pay a penalty for late submittal. Is there any way to see where my New Mexico State return submittal is being held up? Thanks!
It's not uncommon for your state return to remain pending after your Federal return has been accepted. The pending status means that your state return hasn't been accepted or rejected yet.
Review the TurboTax article Why is my state e-file still pending? for more information.
Thank you for the reply. I understand that it can take a few days, but almost two weeks would seem to indicate a problem. Is there any way to determine where the submission of my New Mexico state return is being held up? I'm afraid I'm going to be assessed a penalty for filing a late return.

Two weeks is indeed a long time if the efile submission status is still showing as "pending." If you used Online TurboTax, what is currently showing for the efile status of the state return at the Tax Home in your online account? Was it ever accepted? If using desktop software, you can check inside your TT product. Or you may have received an email indicating if it was accepted or not. Or is it still showing as "pending?"
If the efile status still showing as "pending", here's how to reach TurboTax Support to discuss it with them:
