I live in Florida where there are no state taxes but it would not let me skip it and I had to pay to prepare . We don’t own a business or anything. Was a waste of money.

Why couldn’t I skip it? And why did I have to pay for something I didn’t need?

The Florida return in TurboTax is to report tangible personal property that is used in a Florida-located business or rental property and is filed with the county property appraiser by April 1st.

If you proceeded past the warning screens, try deleting the Florida return --> https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1900608

If you paid for a return that you do not need, contact customer support.
