Did you check your state forms here?
Yes I did, filing RI1040, Sched M, Sched Wand Sced E all say available for e-filing
I spent 2 hours on the phone with Support yesterday (2/4) and every workaround they gave me did not work. There is some problem at their end in the efile processing for RI. So, it has been reported as not working. It would be helpful if more of us complained to them, so they actually understand this is a big problem that needs to be escalated to their tech department. It is not a problem on the consumer end - it is their coding. Don't bother with any of their fixes at this point.
I had created a post a few days ago about this same issue. I tried to e-file federal and RI simultaneously, but was instead greeted with this error message. Several other members replied to my post reporting the same issue.
Some users reported being able to e-file their federal return separately, but trying to e-file their RI returns still results in this error.
I saw this article, which acknowledges that the RI e-filing issue is a TurboTax issue. It also specifies a forms availability date of February 3, but so far the problem is not resolved.
TurboTax folks: Since this is happening to multiple users, this must be a programming issue, not an end user issue. When will this issue be resolved?
Also, I might add I was asked to pay $20 before filing and then to find out there was a problem e-filing state taxes is very annoying. If this problem isn't fixed soon and I have to mail taxes, how do I get a refund of the $20?
Everyone is in limbo with no response from Turbo Tax!
Hi Marion...it is very frustrating. I don't have any confidence that the issue has even been reported to the right people. I just try to file every day. But if there is not an update to load, I doubt it will work.
I too spent 2 hours on the phone with a very nice rep HOWEVER nothing we tried worked!!
I also am receiving the message about not being able to process etc etc for my RI Taxes.
I thought it was something I had done or not done but obviously it is on TTax end. And to add insult to injury, they charged me the $20 efiling fee!!??
Does anyone know if Intuit monitors these posts identifying problems?
We would like to take a deeper look at this. However, we need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed. You can send one to us by following the directions below:

Same issue, Fed filed, RI will not transmit, same error message as above. Token 914926

I am filing in RI and have the same glitch. Please confirm you received this.
My federal went through. I was on the phone last night for almost an hour with a customer service agent. I am so glad I found this forum. He told me that I was going to have to mail everything in. Based on what I read, I saw someone just efiled their Federal successfully, and I did as well. That must mean the glitch is related to the RI return software.

I am having the same problem for several days including this morning. Federal and RI returns being submitted together and I am getting the message: "Tax Year 2021 transmissions are not available - TurboTax is not ready to process Tax Year 2021 for this return."
You can submit the Federal return by itself and it "should" work (that's what I did) but RI e-file is still broken. I'd really like to get a status on this. I'd feel a bit more understanding if TurboTax hadn't already taken my $20.
Same issue as the others. Fed accepted, RI ERROR. Turbotax Desktop (downloaded).

PS Your Phone Support Computer is HORRIBLE
Thanks
Just got off the phone with a very knowledgeable Support Agent. He only asked 2 questions: Have I been a resident for more than 4 years and Do I owe taxes.
If you OWE RI Tax (as I do), that form 2210 isn't ready yet.
Estimated Payment of Taxes Form 2210 is SUPPOSED to be ready on Feb 17th.
I don't know why I was in such a hurry to pay my taxes, but I like to get this stuff out of the way.
I will wait until Feb 17th to try again.
Sorry for my previous comment and frustration with the Turbotax computer system. When I pronounce my name "Anthony" and it comes up with some convoluted mixture of letters, as CAZYESTX, it tends to be annoying.
Thanks for that feedback about your situation. I've lived in RI all my life (70 years!) and the state owes me money. Anyone else in that situation?
Rob
I'm wondering if RI e-filing might be delayed till all the forms are ready! I say this because the forms I am filing were already done and available according to RI website link.
I have lived in RI for more than 50 years and have used Turbo Tax for probably 10 of those years with never a problem like this before.
I hope the agent we all sent our files to has an answer soon, would like to put this tax season to bed!
