I efiled federal. Then I went back through to state. On the last screen it told me I had to efile federal at the same time

If you'd like to efule your state return using TurboTax, it will need to be filed along with your federal return (which I already did).

Was your federal return accepted? If it has not been accepted then you will need to wait until has before filing your state return. If your return has been accepted, please reach out to TurboTax Customer Support for additional assistance. The below Help Articles provides instructions:
