Ive disabled all firewalls , uninstalled tt2021 , and reinstalled again from Amazon. No Help
@vsmktm03 I don't work for TT but found this link to help you out https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-topics/help/state-loop-indicates-turbotax-is-up-to-date-after-updating-but-won-t-allow-you-to-install-your-state/00/1127787
Hope this helps!
Thanks, I had seen this a few days ago , but when I try to apply it, it appears its meant for fixing a similar problem in 2020, and running it looks like it will clean up the "states" module in my 2020 TTax and not 2021.
TT needs to issue a version that will work for 2021 state tax download issue.
Right now nothing is working and although I paid for Federal and State , unless TT sends out a fix , only option left for me is to do the state tax manually.
@vsmktm03 Can you tell us which state tax return you're completing? If this continues to be an issue for you, please contact us so we can further assist you.
Thank you !
I was trying to download - ( from within the 2021 Premier Federal + state version ) - for the state of Ohio, which I understand has released its forms , at least the preliminary ones , with updates to follow.
When I start my state tax portion, a pop up window tells me its going to save my current work etc. , and then download Ohio specific forms, then it says 'down loading' , then I get the check mark and message 'your software is up to date"
But if I hit begin state tax , it simply keeps going in this endless loop. Its similar to the problem reported last year.
Did you ever find a solution for this from turbo tax?
I have been trying for the last two years to get it work and still have not filed my 2021. My Federal is ready but states of NY and NJ are just downloading, installing, ready to go, downloading, installing, ready to go, downloading, installing, ready to go, downloading, installing, ready to go, downloading, installing, ready to go, never ending loop. Sorry for the long read.
