Florida Non-resident state taxes

Why did Turbo Tax make me buy a non-resident state tax return for Florida if I had NO taxable income on my rental property.  I do not believe I have to file a Florida state tax return just because I recieved a 1099 from my rental company.  Very frustrated with Turbo Tax this year!  many mistakes on my return and no one I can call...

The Florida return in TurboTax is to report tangible personal property that is used in a Florida-located business or rental property and is filed with the county property appraiser by April 1st.

If you do not have tangible personal property to report, choose Skip State in the State Taxes section.

If you proceeded past the warning screens, try deleting the Florida return.
