California to florida

I lived in California for the first 6 months of 2017 and had no income, I was a student there. I then moved to Florida july 1 and immediately became a resident there before I started my job there. All my income from 2017 came in Florida after my move there. Do I have to file a California return?

No, if you didn't have any income while you were living in CA you don't file a CA return.

If you are a part-year resident

and your total taxable California income was more than the amount defined in this chart, you have to file.

Total taxable California income includes both of the following:
