I am unable to proceed with filing my taxes. I have a 1099-Misc income form. TurboTax requires me to select Schedule C or Schedule E. Not accepting the response.

My 1099_Misc form does not mention Schedule C or E. An internet search is saying E, but TurboTax seems to be indicating it is Schedule C. Either way I am stuck.

Why did you receive the Form 1099-MISC?

So that we can determine how to report this income on a tax return,  what was paid to you and why?

I received royalties from my YouTube channel. Google sent me a 1099-MISC form. When I try to finalize my taxes it is telling me to double-click on a text box to choose either Schedule C or E. Nothing happens when I double-click on the box, nor are there instructions on entering anything in the box. It appears to be a text box.

The issue has been resolved. I contacted technical support, which is free, and together, the representative and I realized that a duplicate record for this income had been created when I was making updates/corrections to my return. Once the duplicate record was deleted, I was able to complete my return.

Note to users: Be mindful when returning to a record to review or edit, that you DO NOT reenter your information. If prompted to reenter data, that is a sign that you are creating a new/duplicate record.
