Why does SSA-1099 box 5 and 6 data entry not permitted, the Turbo Tax fields are grayed out?

While completing the Income Section, under the "Tell us about the benefits you recieved" the social security benefits check box is selected.  The SSA-1099 data entry form is displayed but the Box 5 and Box 6 fields are grayed out; data entry is not allowed.  Medicare data entry is permitted.  Why can't Turbo tax accept the the Box 5 and 6 data?

The problem youu report shouldn't be happening - you are supposed to be able to make entries in those boxes.

Try deleting this form using the instructions below, then create a new SSA-1099 entry. If deleting the form doesn't work, you might try opening TurboTax in a different browser.
