To clarify, Box b of what form? Is this a federal or state form? If state, what state are you talking about?

I have the same issue, where TT threw an error saying I needed to fill this amount in. I'm in MA.

This is from line 5 of MA schedule X

I received a 1099-G from MA because I received 5893.38 PMFL and paid 589.33 in fed tax and 294.67 in state tax.

You should have received a Form 1099-G from Massachusetts.  You should enter that Form into TurboTax as it is shown.  Then answer any followup prompts regarding your leave.  This information will flow through to your Massachusetts State Tax Return.  PMFL is taxable if your employer paid your premium.

If you received a Form 1099-G you should enter it into TurboTax as it is shown.

I did upload it, and upon later review it flagged it as an error, which means the info is not on the 1099-G.

First, did you enter the 1099-G in Wages & Income->Unemployment->Add a 1099-G (government payment)?

Second, did you see this screen, and answer the questions here?

When I did this on a test, it worked for me.
